SINGLE REVIEW - APRIL KRY - PERFECTLY IMPERFECT

Next Monday (30th April) will see  April Kry release her new single, Perfectly Imperfect which I was kindly given the opportunity to review. Perfectly Imperfect is perfectly perfect! Perfectly Imperfect starts with a darker sounding tune with just a guitar to accompany which is rather special. April vocals are rather dark sounding to start but it's stunning because it allows April to get across the message in which she wants too! The chorus is rather special along with it being super catchy which April is brutally honest throughout and I adore this about April's song-writing. Perfectly Imperfect is a song in which I believe that everyone could/ can relate to when it comes to accepting ourselves for who we are and where we have come from/ where we are going! Perfectly Imperfect lets people know that what they are feeling is human and that's its OK to feel like this! April's softer and joyful vocals throughout the chorus along with the meaningful lyrics from her

ALBUM REVIEW - SOUTHERN HALO - JUST LIKE IN THE MOVIES

Tomorrow (Friday 27th April) will see US singer-songwriting Trio, Southern Halo release their debut album, Just Like In The Movies and I was very kindly recently sent Just Like In The Movies to review. Just Like In The Movies features 14 songs. You can read my interview with the girls here . Southern Halo is such a stunningly beautiful song from the girls with a beautiful bass backing. Southern Halo allows their harmonies to shine throughout. The perfect song to open their debut album up with. Natalia's solo vocals are beautiful alongside Hannah and Christina duo vocals are wonderful. I love how Christina, Hannah and Natalia's vocals complement each other so well - there is something rather special about these girls. The lyrics within the chorus are so fun and based on growing up. I love the Natalia's guitar playing, Hannah's bass playing and Christina's drumming was magical and bought the song to life. My Girls & Me opens up with funky bass playing fro

EP REVIEW - EMILY FAYE - HERE I AM

British singer-songwriter,  Emily Faye is set to release her debut EP, Here I Am which will be released on Friday 27th April. Here I Am features 4 tracks, and Emily very kindly sent us the EP to review. Open Road starts with a guitar solo that starts the song off beautifully with such a road trip vibe to it. Emily's tone is so beautiful straight from the start with very quirky parts in the first verse too. The chorus has such a happy sound with gorgeous and meaningful lyrics! Within the second verse you get a fun and happy vibe - meanwhile I love that the video is showing us that she is living her dream and loving it such a wonderful concept for the video, Emily. The third and final verse has a dance and happy type of vibe. Giving In is a slower sounding song with the start being wonderfully slow and it suits the style of the song and with Emily's softer sounding vocals too it highlight's Emily's vocals beautifully. The lyrics in Giving In are just incredible an

ABOUT ONCE UPON A SMILE

This is a very different kind of blog post to normal but it’s one I have wanted to share for so long (but I never felt I could) about a charity that is very close to my heart Once Upon A Smile and even more so after last night’s Grand Ball and what a success it was. If you know me personally you will know how passionate I am about helping Once Upon A Smile whether it’s through work or even just donating money when I can. So in this blog I am going to tell you about the incredible work they do and the co-founders are the most humble people you can meet (and that’s just Danny as I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting Dan yet!) Once Upon A Smile also have a mascot called Sidley which the children love. What is Once Upon A Smile? Once Upon A Smile is a bereavement charity which aims to provide support for families in their time of need. Once Upon A Smile   was set up in 2011 by Danny Miller (Emmerdale’s Aaron Dingle) and his friend Daniel Jillings after the passing of Danny’s Emm

ALBUM REVIEW - THE SHIRES - ACCIDENTLY ON PURPOSE

I am very excited to have been given this wonderful opportunity to review from British singer-songwriters,  The Shires new album, Accidently On Purpose which is out for release this Friday (20th April). Accidently On Purpose is made up of 12 tracks. The Hard Way is a brilliant song to start the album with especially with the quirkiness the song gives off from the start. Ben starting the song off with his crisp vocals and Crissie moments later giving with her softer vocals there is something so magical about their vocals when they come together like they do in the chorus. The Hard Way is a very relatable song especially as everyone had some point in their life as been apart of what they are singing about. My favourite part of The Hard Way is the chorus because of it's very catchy lyrics and you feel yourself singing along. Echo is very much a different sounding song from what I was expecting yet it is amazing. I love how much thought has gone into the lyrics and when to
