INTERVIEW WITH LIV AUSTEN

Image
This is one interview I am very thankful to have got the opportunity to have. Liv Austen  is a Norwegian born singer-songwriter and actress. Her music is something else and everyone should be checking her out after you've read this interview. Photo Credit: Lui River Could I ask you to introduce yourself to our readers? My name is Liv Austen, I am a singer and songwriter from East London - I moved to the UK from Norway 7 years ago and have been releasing my music here and performing for the last 3 years! Your new single 'The Next Time' could you tell us what it's about? The Next Time is essentially about breaking up with a friend, or removing yourself from a person who doesn't treat you well, a situation that's bad for you. When someone has used up their second chances with you, it can be liberating to tell them that they've run out of "next times". That's what the message of the song is!    The lyrics and melody are amazing.

CHRISTMAS ALBUM REVIEW - JESS AND THE BANDITS - ALWAYS CHRISTMAS EVE

Welcome back to my review on Jess and The Bandits new Christmas album, Always Christmas Eve out on December 1st in the UK. The Christmas EP will feature 4 singles each with a special guest from the UK Country Music Scene and here I will be giving my review on them. Baby, It's Cold Outside - duet with Kevin McGuire I won't lie but this was one song I was worried about being covered because it is such a great song but both Jess and Kevin have had a great job. I love the instrumentals within the whole song and gives it a super Christmassy feel. Jess' vocals starts Baby, It's Cold Outside few seconds after Kevin vocals join and their voices work wonderful together. Jess' stunning tone throughout Baby, It's Cold Outside highlights what a stunning female singer Jess is with her voice. Also, I have to say that Kevin's voice throughout highlights what a great male singer he is and with his gorgeous higher tone it is so raw, I love it. Baby' It's Cold

L-R Hannah, Christina and Natalia Photo Credit: Chuck Arlund So, could I ask you to introduce yourselves? My name is Natalia Morris, I am the acoustic/ electric guitar player, lead vocalist and oldest sibling in Southern Halo. I'm Christina Morris (aka Tinka) and I play the drums and sing vocals in Southern Halo. I'm also the crazy middle sister. I'm Hannah Morris, the youngest sister, bass player and vocalist in Southern Halo. You were recently in the UK, what was it like to be back? Natalia: As always, it was such an honor to return to the UK - it was our third time this year! It was so great seeing lots of our friends and fans that we had made on our previous trips, getting a chance to see more of the UK and make new friends. You have performed at the B

PERFORMANCE REVIEW - TEMECULA ROAD - DAYTIME HUB

Image
As many of you are aware, I am a MASSIVE supporter of the talented trio Temecula Road who are a California-bred, Tennessee-based country music trio ,  and when they were at The Borderline I thought I had to go and knowing I was surprising them was even better because their faces said it all! From the moment Temecula Road made up of sisters Maddie and Emma Salute and friend, Dawson Anderson entered the stage at The Borderline, the crowd was the biggest it had been for the whole afternoon which was incredible for me to see. Felt so proud of them (words can't explain!) Also, when Dawson plays his guitar throughout the set but when Emma occasionally plays the mandolin it's such a special moment, you can see how passionate they are about the melodies and the keys they use. Wonderful job! Temecula Road opened their wonderful set with That's A Kiss what a way to kick start their set off. The audience were gripped right from the start and everyone seemed to be swaying along w

EMMERDALE EPISODE REVIEW - EMMERDALE ARE STARTING TO DEAL WITH AARON'S MENTAL HEALTH

Welcome to another blog but one I am so very happy to be writing the one where Emmerdale FINALLY mentioned Aaron's going to be going to a counselling session and one that we see on screen. Monday's episode was written by the wonderful Cameron McAllister he's writing is just great one of my favourite writers alongside Maxine Alderton of course. Directed by Paul Copeland. First scene of the evening featuring Robert and Aaron was of them talking about going for a picnic in which was not very popular with an unconvinced Aaron but with him wanting to spend time with Robert he quickly agreed. For me the best part of the scene was Robert mentioning that Aaron is finally going to be going to counselling tomorrow. In the shop, Tracy is serving Robert and Aaron when they are buying things for their picnic. The best scene of the episode we can all agree was when they started their picnic, HOW CUTE?? This is cute (shouting at my TV like I bet some you lot reading these were

GIG REVIEW: TEMECULA ROAD DEBUT UK PERFORMANCE AT C2C

Hey everyone... I thought as I enjoyed Temecula Road so much and as a big supporter of them why not write a blog on the experience of seeing them live as they debut in the UK!! Temecula Road are a band made up of two sisters Emma and Maddie Salute and friend Dawson Anderson. Temecula Road have recently signed to Disney Music Group’s Buena Vista Records they definitely have a big feature ahead of them if yesterday was anything to go by. So walking into building six yesterday, I was so nervous but also very excited as I've waited a long time for them to come over to the UK and play a show, let alone them playing Country 2 Country Festival. And my god it was worth the wait, INCREDIBLE. Before the performance had started their mum's came over to say 'hey' which meant a lot to me and that had me even more excited if that was possible. Then it was the moment I had waited for the moment TEMECULA ROAD took to the stage... Their set list for the show was amazing and

ROBRON REVIEW OF THE EMMERDALE PRISON EPISODE AND THE FOLLOWING DAY...

Welcome back to another blog involving our favourite pair, Robert Sugden and Aaron Dingle along with Liv Flaherty and Paddy Kirk. So the start of the week saw 'A Special Prison In The Life Of Aaron' on Monday written beautifully by Paul Roundell and directed by Sean Healy as was Tuesday's episode. Tuesday's episode was written by Bill Lyons. Great acting this week for Danny Miller and Ryan Hawley as always but how stunning was Isobel Steele? She is just smashing her scenes at the moment what a talent she is to the show. And you can't forget about Dominic Brunt. I have mentioned how fabulously brilliant Michael Warrender and Samuel Cook have been as Ethan and Jason in Monday's episode my god Emmerdale have cast these roles fantastically! Samuel is just one of those actors that can play a baddy so well, great work! Does anyone else want the characters to stay on Emmerdale? Because I do with Samuel as he has been wonderful as bad boy Jason there is more to

ROBRON WEEKLY REVIEW - WHAT A WEEK FOR US ROBRON FANS...

As some of you may know I love Emmerdale and I am a big fan of a certain couple known as 'Robron' aka Robert Sugden and Aaron Dingle since their first kiss back on Thursday 4th December 2014, who knew back then that it was only meant to be an affair but 27 months later, they would be 'married'. Maxine Alderton's writing of Tuesday's episode was just stunning and deserves so much praise as does her episode for half an hour on Thursday but as do Isobel Cameron who wrote Monday's and Dawn Harrison who wrote Thursday's one hour episode. Monday's episode started with Robert trying to get Aaron out of The Woolpack so that Robert can start planning his surprise wedding to Aaron, Adam then arrived to keep Aaron occupied until he was needed back for the wedding. With Chas and Liv helping to organise their special day with decorating the front of the pub along with Diane and Victoria and Marlon on food duty. We also saw scenes from Paddy, Robert and Chas
